The Waipahu Safe Haven has developed two steering committees, Chuukese and Marshallese, who meet on a weekly basis to discuss cultural topics, ongoing issues, and possible solutions, communal needs, and etc. These committees are composed of and ran by community members who are natives of each ethnic group. They provide an amplitude amount of guidance and support for the community, as well as introducing them to various types of available resources and education opportunities.
